Fasten on your snowshoes!  It's worth it to take time to discover the snow-covered mountain landscape, away from the ski areas.

Some guests prefer a pleasant hike from mountain lodge to mountain lodge - others have the goal of reaching a mountaintop. And yet others just enjoy the freedom of plodding through the snow. 

WINTER HIKING is perfect for fitness

Over 100 km of groomed Winter Hiking Trails lead to the most beautiful corners of the St. Johann holiday region. The snow crunches beneath your feet, and you can enjoy the peace and quiet away from the ski slopes, yet enjoy the snow-covered valleys and glittering mountains. 

The Jagdschlössl offers free, guided hikes and snowshoe hikes weekly.

SKI TOURS for adventure

Respect for the mountain  is the best safety tip.

The Alps, away from the lifts and pistes, offers many opportunities for ski tours. Classical tours of varying difficulty, including out of bounds and inclines, and insider tips - all according to the season.

The  Kitzbühel Alps are known as a Ski Tour El Dorado.
